The LETAM has as a general theme the study of anisotropic behaviours of polycrystalline metallic materials. The research work concerns on one hand the crystallographic microstructure-texture and physical and mechanical properties relationships, and, on the other hand, the development and forming conditions and constitution or evolution of microstructures and textures relationships. The study of the relationships mentions passes by the development of models.

 

For the experimental aspects, the laboratory has very modern equipment at its disposal, in particular, in the domain of X ray diffraction and electron microscopy.

 

The LETAM combines fundamental research and applied research in relationship with public or private partners.
