The scientific orientation of the LMOPS concerns the study (development, characterization) of materials (monocrystals, waveguides, thin films) and optical functions (electrooptical, ONL, photorefractive) for the generation and laser beam processing (phase, intensity or polarization modulation; phase conjugation; self-focus; guidance and self-guidance…)

 

Issues and applications aimed for :
- Sources in ultra-violet and "blue" : by direct emission and frequency conversion.
- Components and systems with telecom wavelengths : integrated electrooptic modulators ; self-focus systems, photoinscribed guides.
