The post-secondary educational institutions in Lorraine propose a total of nearly one thousand different diplomas and degrees. They cover most disciplines and courses of study and are accessible by various routes that go from initial training to continuing vocational training.
 
Each year the region welcomes 75 500 students of which 6 600 are foreign students. They opt for academic training (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, degrees from great schools) or for shorter vocational training like the BTS (advanced training certificate) or the DUT (Higher Diploma in Technology).
