From science to economy

Research, education, development : these 3 words summarize the mission of a centre of competence. FABELOR (Forest - Agri-food - Biotechnologies - Environment - Lorraine), for example, makes the regional schools, universities and research institutes cooperate, intervening in the domains of agronomy, agri-food, the environment and the forest.
 
At the heart of this centre, researchers and teacher-researchers concentrate their efforts in 3 domains : the functioning of forest ecosystems ; food engineering and safety ; water, soils, biodiversity. In the long run, the objective is to give rise to transfers of technologies and to stimulate the creation of jobs in these sectors.
 
Scientific Interest Group, FABELOR was created under the double supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of National Education.
