1st Opening Ceremony at the University of Lorraine
On 3 December, 2012, at Metz Arsenal, the University of Lorraine held its first doctoral award ceremony and honoured 5 foreign researchers. Graduations, titles, honorary doctorates and thesis prizes: the event in pictures.

On January 13th, the Jean Lamour Institute inaugurated its 2nd block of scientific equipment. Worth 4 million Euros, the block will strengthen the position of the JLI as the European Leader in Nano-science and the study of the surfaces of materials..

 
   
"Fusion Expo" in Nancy

Nancy 2 University : renovation of the main lecture hall
After 6 months of work, lecture hall 700 at the University of Nancy 2’s College of Law, Economics and Management got a facelift. Built 45 years ago, it’s located at the center of the Carnot-Ravinelle campus.

Trip to the core of science
For a weekend, on November 21st and 22nd, the "trip to the core of science" enabled more than 7,000 visitors and passerbyers to meet Lorraine region scientists. Universities, CNRS, INRA, INRIA and INSERM, the labs were ready and waiting to transform the regional train stations into spaces for popularizing knowledge about science.
