The national loan launched in 2010 aims at funding promising fields to boost growth. July 2011: Nancy, world philosophy of science capital

The Congress on Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science takes place for the first time in France from July 19th to 26th. The event is organized in Nancy by the History and Philosophy of Science Laboratory (Laboratoire d'Histoire des Sciences et de Philosophie (LHSP)) - Henri Poincaré Archives with the support of the Lorraine region MSH. For its organizers, the event is also a unique chance to interest the greater public in research problems.

IRT M2P : Lorraine at the Centre of the "Materials Valley"

The IRT M2P was selected in the context of the French “Major Loan” scheme. Six other technology research institute projects were selected in France. The project sponsored by major university, industry and political leaders in Lorraine, Champagne-Ardenne and Franche-Comté came in second.

    

 

ATILF celebrate 10 years of research

Expert in Middle Age vocabulary as much as in digital technologies, this laboratory shared by the CNRS and Nancy University has become an international reference in its field: the analysis and computer processing of the French language.

2012 Year of Alan Turing

20th century genius, English mathematician Alan Mathison Turing (1912-1954) was famous as a pioneer of modern information technology and artificial intelligence. To celebrate the centenary of his birth, he is being honoured in Lorraine and over the whole world.

   

 

CERCo - Constructing Together a Region of Knowledge

Its ambition is to offer the people of Lorraine equality of access to scientific, technological and industrial culture. A University of Lorraine project, CERCo has been granted Future Investments status.
