Greater Region : University and Scientific Cooperation Take Wing

   The first greater regional meeting on higher education and research took place on April 3rd. It defined the road map with its sights on cross border integration in these sectors.
 
   Jean-Pierre Moinaux, Vice-President of the Lorraine Region, participated in the first Greater Regional "G5" that brought together the senior officials responsible for university and scientific areas. We asked about the future of cross border cooperation.
 
  Organized by the Greater Region, this prize awards exemplary scientific cross border cooperation projects. The prize's existence just became ensured, and the 2009 laureate is the GR-Atlas cartography portal.
 
   Launched this April 30th, the GRU (UGR) is a cross border cooperation project uniting the Lorraine, Luxembourg, the Sarre, Wallonia and Rhineland-Palatinate. It associates 7 universities including the Nancy and Metz universities.
 
   TIGRE's goal is to develop the transfer technology, competency and innovation on a Greater Regional scale. This project, coordinated by the Université de Liège, groups the actors for adding value. It just began its 3 years.
