Etic’s objective is to produce concepts, theories and methods to allow for an understanding of the user experience. A user experience is phenomenon that is strange and still quite vague. This concept, recently devised by researchers in human-technology-organisation interaction, has been adopted on a number of occasions as a trait that determines whether the use of a technological or social system is satisfying or not. The term "user experience" is currently associated with a wide variety of meanings, which ETIC seeks to operationalise both from a theoretical and application perspective in the fields of employment, education and social life.
