The Centre of Petrographic and Geochemical Research is a laboratory of the CNRS bringing together around one hundred people working in the domain of Sciences of the Earth and Planets. It is organized into 3 research teams : geochemistry, petrology and geodynamics. In addition, the centre hosts the Rock and Mineral Analysis Department and the Ionic Probe National Service of the INSU.
