The CRCIL represents the interests of the industry, commerce and services towards the public administrations. It coordinates the actions of the 4 departmental Chambers of Commerce and Industry in order to support the development of businesses in Lorraine in a regional, interregional and European dimension.

Among the missions ensured by CCIRL, several come from the field of innovation:

• Accompany companies in their projects for innovation, technologies transfer, development;
• Support for the structuring of the sectors, the constitution and development of clusters encouraging the partnerships to innovate;
• Favour the companies’ access to knowledge by encouraging closer collaboration between Companies / Research-Higher education and by reinforcing the links with University and other higher education development bodies in the Region and the cross-border Greater Region. • Contact point for the Enterprise Europe Network, CCIRL promotes the development of Company/Research partnerships both at a regional level and at a cross-border and wider European level.

CCIRL has a unifying role, in direct contact with companies and company clubs, but also with the ensemble of the accompanying networks (Centres of competitiveness, RDT, CRITT, CRT, Incubators…)

REEL

• Accompany companies towards and making them aware about the implementation of environmental management – www.environnement-lorraine.org

RIFE 2

• Encourage the emergence of good practices concerning environmental management in a panel of small and medium sized companies and promote them to all cross-border companies – www.rife-wll.net

LEAN LORRAINE

• Accompany the very small, small and medium sized companies in Lorraine in the appropriation of the LEAN tools and their implementation in the companies;
• Introduce organisational innovations into the companies which could in time encourage technological innovations.
