Presentation of the structure

The CRITT Technical Jet Fluid and Machining is validated since 1985 by the Ministry of Industry and certified "Technological Resource Centre" since 1988. Association law 1901, it is a member of the water jet bureau and club THP, ARFCRT, the Materalia centre and the CARNOT - ICEEL institute. It includes two domains of excellence: machining (from traditional to high-speed) and cutting and cleaning by high-pressure fluid jets.

The services of CRITT Technical Jet Fluid and Machining concerns :
- The integration of new production technologies and investments in order to help companies put the technico-economic offer in accord with its needs. The following domains are concerned: cleaning, surface treatment, decontamination, hydrodemolition, cutting, forming and machining of materials, optimization of the materials transformation settings.
- The development of new products, by accompanying industrialists in their thought so as to better face the very active competition.
- Applied research projects and collective actions so as to draw up the development ideas of S.M.I., search for their future partners, direct projects, put together files destined for financers and participate in the development of applied research actions.
- Technological expertise, by proposing it to SMI, in order to favour the success of a project.
The CRITT TJF&U can also assure the training of personnel regarding cutting by water jet, machining, and digital command, CAD, organization of the work and leading of projects.

- Integration study of a cutting system of steel high mechanical characteristics for bracing ;
- Study and cutting of traction test specimens in polypropylene for automobile manufacturers ;
- Study of interleaving of floor covering elements cut by water jet for a manufacturer;
- Feasibility study of the breakdown of tyres and extraction of samples in cuts of tyres by very high-pressure water jet ;
- Feasibility study of cutting fragments of glass bottles for a glass manufacturer;
- Characterization test of the shearing behaviour and resistance to impacts of a material loaded glass fibres ;
- Feasibility study of cutting modules of plugs with variable geometry by very high-pressure water jet;
- Research work for the obtention of pieces sintered in aluminium powder in order to answer to the aeronautical and automobile markets ;
- Technical feasibility of cutting 5 axes of specific pieces in aluminium for the radar illuminator of the rafale RB2 ;
- Accompaniment of a company in the realization of a research consortium making it possible to define and carry out an applied research program of development of a Russian concept in realisation of a machine ;
- Technico-economic characterization of steel and concrete cutting operations by water charged with very high energy ;
- Economic characterization of the cutting of blinds in thermolacquered aluminium;
- Characterization of industrial cleaning processes by high pressure water jet ;
- Study of a hard and cold micro-piercing process for cutting fragile materials ;
