Educational aid and support

Grants

 

The grants on social criteria are aid granted to students under 28 years old studying in a public or private Postsecondary educational institution, authorized to receive grants from the National Education. They are attributed according to the income of the residence for tax purposes, the number of children the family is responsible for and the distance of the place of studies.

 

Other types of aid

 

Interest and guarantee free loan, study allowance, Single Emergency Benefit Allowance, Mobility Passport… other types of aid making it possible to accompany and support students during their schooling. A lot are managed by the CROUS.

 

 

Student mobility

 

Socrates, Erasmus, Leonardo, and Euromost : numerous programs allow students in Lorraine to continue their studies or to do internships abroad. Conversely, Lorraine's educational institutions are largely open to welcoming foreign students. The Regional Council of Lorraine actively supports the international mobility of its students. facility it awards grants for periods of study carried out abroad within the framework of a university curriculum and complements financial help linked to European or national programmes. This financial aid is reserved for students who have completed at least 2 years of higher education..
