The LMAM is associated to the CNRS since January 2003. It groups together 38 research professors, 4 secretaries, 1 research engineer, 21 doctoral candidates and, constantly, visitors from laboratories in foreign countries.

It consists of 4 research teams :
- An EDP team, who studies partial differential equations and their applications, for example, in the study of porous or hollow substances, fluid mechanics, etc. Digital analysis plays an important role in this research.
- The AGA team groups together researchers in harmonic analysis, geometry and algebra. Above all, the theory of group representations and Lie algebras, deformation theories, infinite dimensional geometry, uniform algebras and operator algebras, index theory, Lie superalgebras and the theory of numbers are studied.
- The third team is interested in the geometric control of non-linear systems.
- The fourth team is specialised in biostatistics…(continuation of the presentation)
