Several regional competitions aim at supporting innovative business creation in Lorraine. Participating in a competition makes it possible:
1) For any innovative business creation project bearer to be accompanied in the formalization of his projects and to practice presenting his project in a concise and concrete way. It also makes it possible, for the files that will be chosen by a jury of professionals, to obtain a grant or a prize that aims at rewarding the best projects:
- The "Entrepreneurship" competition organized by Promotech, which rewards the best ideas no matter what their stage of advancement is with prizes and accompaniment. 5 categories have been identified: "design", "emergence", "concrete expression", "start up" and a "pedagogic projects" category;
- The “Synergiades” competition organized by Synergie, which rewards and promotes a specific component of a project and not the entire business plan (most innovative project, best market study, best business plan…).
 2) For any innovative business created during the year to benefit from a prize according to a given sector of business activity and to benefit from communication that favours the notoriety of the awarded business: certain categories of the "Entrepreneurship" and "Synergiades" competitions promote businesses in the creation phase.
