Industrial property pre-diagnostic

The industrial property pre-diagnostic proposed by the INPI consists of an evaluation of the needs of the business regarding industrial property in order to optimise the innovation potential. This pre-diagnostic is a personalized aid that takes into account the specificity of the business and its development projects. It sensitizes to the rules of the industrial property game and proposes strategic tools according to needs.
It can concern a patent as much as intelligence of brands, drawings and models, contracts, licences or even documentary, technological and competitive, technology purchasing and sales...


Microbusinesses, SME, business projects incubated in the public incubators, research units dependent on a public research and teaching institution.


- SME not having registered a patent in the last 5 years (in the name of the company or the director) ;
- SME members of a centre of competitive excellence or presenting a project with an eye to labeling by a centre, without condition or restriction on their practice regarding the patent registration ;
- Business projects incubated in the public incubators, without condition or restriction on their practice regarding the patent registration.


This service, totally free of charge for the business, is undertaken by the Lorraine delegation of the INPI and the Regional Council of Lorraine. It is carried out by an expert of the INPI, a specialist in industrial property of a consultant proposed by the INPI.
