Research and studies in situ

They allow scientists to work in real conditions. As their name indicates, the experimental sites offer teams the possibility of validating laboratory work, testing experimental procedures and testing technological developments in the field.
 
In Lorraine, the Laboratory of Soil and Environment, (INPL-ENSAIA/INRA) evaluates the long-term impact of practices of land treatment of waste on the experimental site of la Bouzule.
 
Consortium of 13 public research laboratories, installed on the site of a former coking plant in Homécourt, the Scientific Interest Group on the Industrial Wild Lands (GISFI) proposes an expertise as far as requalification of polluted soil by industrial activities is concerned.
 
Located on the border of the Meuse and the Upper-Marne, the site of Bure has been chosen in order to study in an underground laboratory the storage possibilities of radioactive waste.
