Presentation of the structure

Experienced plasturgist from Lorraine (116 people, € 13.4 M T/O), SOLUPLAST proposes a global competence in plasturgy, from design to production (engineering, design, R&D, tooling, injection, decoration). SOLUPLAST is also at the forefront in new injection technologies and even in eco-design. SOLUPLAST’s domains of intervention are building, furnishings, medical, agri-food, automobile…

plasturgy, composite, plastic, design, calculation, biomaterial, technological resources, natural fibre, polymer, injection process, predictive design, traction, mechanical test, hemp, fatigue, innovation, eco-design, simulation, injection, innovation, technological transfer, creep, CAD, shearing, compression, tooling, special machines, ultrasonic sealing, assembly, production, decoration, sublimation, surface treatment, clean room, dust-free room

30 press injectors going from 20 to 1000 tonne equipped with diverse technologies, extruders, 20m/s high-speed test machine, Videotraction® system, CAD software, calculation programs, 4 machining centres, erosions, moulding machines, grinding machines, assembly line, IAG/IAE.

In view of the competition from Eastern Europe and Asia, around ten businesses in Lorraine decided to mutualize their competences within a group : SOLUPLAST.
Supported by the Region, SOLUPLAST has the goal of designing, producing and selling plastic pieces of high added value.
The Cluster must make it possible to access new markets: to be capable of responding in a more global way to current markets, to markets not individually accessible (calls to tender, export…), to target markets where nobody is present, to new forms of markets for the members (clean products…), and also to open up markets on innovation projects (individual or collective).
The objective is also to develop industrial efficiency in plasturgy, favour innovation and the emergence of new know-how throughout the regional field.

Study and industrialization of a baluster for building, supply of a complete piece for an automobile equipment manufacturer (injection and painting), fabrication of bulky pieces for the medical field, development of a new biodegradable product for packaging, development of a new gas assisted injection nozzle, study and design of technical plastic pieces replacing metal, study and development of new decoration technologies by impression/sublimation, innovation program in order to reduce the costs of tooling (supported by the Regional Council and the Drire Lorraine).
