The JESSICA France association, founded by the CEA and OSEO Innovation, is principally financed by the ministry of the Economy, Finances and Industry. It works in synergy with the DRIRE, OSEO, territorial governments and field networks (Networks of Technological Diffusion).
JESSICA France bears the CAP’TRONIC program whose mission is to facilitate innovation and the competitiveness of SME by electronics.

In order to carry out technical actions, JESSICA France can mobilise over 50 public competence centres represented by around one hundred experts and numerous electronics design offices.

JESSICA France accompanies and facilitates the innovation and competitiveness of SME by electronics. It favours providing contacts between schools, laboratories, and regional SME by the intermediary of the financing of expertise contracts and training.
The association develops itself on the regional scale by numerous collective actions in the eco-design, embedded electronics, communicating solutions, ROHS directives (lead suppression) and DEEE (Electric and Electronic Waste)…

Following an investigation lead in 2004, the CAP'TRONIC program was judged useful or very useful by more than 74% of the subscribing SME. The impact of the help on the technological, economical, job creation and intellectual plane is therefore significant.
The technically and financially assisted SME :
- Could develop a prototype for 50% of the projects helped ;
- Saved 30% in the development time of their products ;
- Foresee commercialising the new product in 92% of cases ;
- Developed their turnover by an average of 20% ;
- Created nearly 300 jobs.
