Aériades is a cluster based in Lorraine bringing together a totality of industrial, research and aeronautical, spatial and defense education. The company Aériades SAS is composed of around thirty SME-SMI businesses form Lorraine. Aériades is a member of GIFAS – Group of French Aeronautical and Space Industries – Commission GEAD Group of Equipment.
Aériades takes responsibility for the invitations to tender from the design until the turnkey handover of the equipment to the ordering parties in mutualizing its competences and know-how. Its sectors of activity are notably general and precision mechanics, welding, electronics – electricity – thermal, the products and sets, the materials (: alloys, foundry and composite metallurgy), rapid prototyping studies and tools, metrology, tests, measurements and control, research and development…
Aériades counts over 2000 people in Lorraine spread out within the 30 cluster members, with a consolidated turnover reaching nearly € 235M.

The objective of the cluster is to federate the competences of the industrialists and the technological platform thereby created so as to benefit from the lever effect anticipated by the networking.
For the industrialists, in addition to the capacity effect sought, the goal is to be able to manage the calls to tender from the design phase until the turnkey handover or the equipment to the ordering parties.
For the technological platform, it consists of, in addition to the technological themes, of bringing a methodological support in order to address the changes that the integration of suppliers in the supply chain of the ordering parties imposes, all in developing a specific know-how towards the industrialists.

Several businesses of the cluster work together in the framework of the centre of competitive excellence : Materalia.
Through the ARES association, Aériades also brings together numerous scientists.
