Presentation of the structure

Since 1985, the INPI is present in Lorraine to welcome and accompany innovators in their protection approaches. In collaboration with the regional innovation partners, the INPI organizes the regional industrial property policy by concrete and targeted actions.

Databases.


The INPI assures a personalized welcome for all information linked to industrial property :
- Detection of industrial property problems in the development projects of businesses and laboratories and proposition of personalized evaluation tools like the "industrial property pre-diagnostic" ;
- Sensitization, training and accompaniment of businesses and research laboratories in their innovation approach and putting into practice of industrial property, notably by the Regional Funds of Diffusion of Industrial Property (FRDPI) ;
- Sensitization and training in schools, universities, laboratories and research centres by giving information on the national and international procedures ;
- Reception of patents, trademark, drawing, model and research registrations in the titles of industrial property (RISC) : research in the state of the art, freedom to operate and technological and competition watches, research of previous projects.


In 2007, the Lorraine delegation of the INPI received : 940 trademark registrations, 309 drawing and model registrations and 195 patent registrations. The Institute also lead operations such as :
- The regional industrial property diffusion fund for the awareness and accompaniment of the business and the research sector's industrial property. Partnerships are being created with APOLLOR for the plastic processing industry, AGRIA for the agri-foodstuffs industry, CERES for university and research and the Lorraine Incubator for innovative business creators.
- The industrial property pre-diagnostics for making businesses aware of industrial property challenges.
- Industrial Property Awareness sessions in engineering and management schools but also in universities (Masters programs and Doctoral schools).
