The 2009 Inovana competition awarded 4 Lorraine region businesses for the innovative projects stemming from non-foodstuffs agricultural productions. Meeting with Jordan Entreprise, winner distinguished for its motor treatments and additives manufactured from rapeseed. "Today, we have the means to be efficient without making poisons" and Jordan Pimpaud gives us the proof. This Lorraine native's business offers a "line of non-polluting and more than 95% biodegradable motor treatments and additives". Baptized E_, the latest creation earned him the Green Chemistry Emerging Prize awarded during the Inovana competition last September 28th at Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy. Plant disinfectant, pharmaceutical proteins and modular bungalows were the winning projects along with Jordan Entreprise for this 2009 edition. All were hailed for their innovative use of plant-origin components that, among other things, allowed for " diminishing the dependency on petrol-based products ". Organized by the Lorraine region CRITT Agria and ENSAIA, Inovana awards Lorraine region businesses that invest "in giving the non-foodstuff area agricultural productions value (VANAPA)". "Our project was close to their hearts. They encouraged me to compete because I have a tendency to be autistic in my work," confides Jordan Pimpaud when commenting on his collaboration with the Meuse region CCI. This Chamber of Commerce accompanies him since his beginnings seven years ago. Located in Revigny-sur-Ornain, Jordan Entreprise develops additives based on rapeseed in a sector where until 2006 the standards were sulfur-based compounds. Distinguished by comparisons in the specialized press, his first products are for professionals, concessionaries, taxis, ambulances, and urban vehicles... With its new line, for now on the young business aims at the general public market by advancing hefty arguments : "E_ increases motor performance and lifespan, diminishes fuel and oil consumption and greatly reduces pollution." The Inovana prize could allow him to accelerate movement: "We gained visibility and are especially solicited recently", confirms the winner. Worth 3,000 euros, his award is the making of a film presenting his business and an invitation to an international fair. His perspectives ? "Expanding our development in France and approaching Europe to commercialize the E_ line."
